For years I did everything right and still felt awful. If you sleep eight hours and wake up empty, hold water you can't explain, and stare at a scale that won't move no matter what you cut, the missing piece may not be willpower or one more diet. It may be methylation — a quiet background process that runs your energy, hormones, and detox pathways, and one that tends to run slow in women with an MTHFR variation.

Back then I ate less, exercised, and took the supplements, and I was still dragging myself through every afternoon: foggy, swollen, and angry that none of it worked.
